Included are extracts from the very first lessons of Madeleine (age 5) and Brian (age nearly 50). Madeleine's progress is followed for 13 months showing the development of a sound basic technique. Hae-Yun (age 8) is taught some more advanced terchniques, including vibrato, changing position & spiccato bowing. She is also shown having her very first viola lesson.
