PPS130 OVERTURE: THE MIKADO OF PENZANCE’S PINAFORE by KENNETH GANGE A compilation of the implied Sullivan works upon which numerous non-Sullivan quotes manage to intrude. Just under 6 minutes. The original was written “for the entertainment of a very good A level group I once had” explained Ken when he produced version 2 in response to a request from the AYR CAMERATA CHAMBER GROUP for a concert item. THIS VERSION FOR FLUTE, OBOE, CLARINET IN Bb, VIOLIN, VIOLA & CELLO was first performed at a concert in Wigtown, Dumfries & Galloway as part of the Wigtown Book Festival in September 2012. The original solo piano version is also available.
