Piper Woodwind Favourites are arranged for a standard wind quintet suitable for players of moderate ability (about grade 3 - 5 ABRSM). To make them more flexible for school & amateur groups each set contains 3 alternative parts which allow the following combinations: flute, oboe (flute 2), clarinet in Bb, horn in F or Eb or alto saxophone or clarinet 2 in Bb & bassoon (cello) or tenor saxophone or bass clarinet in Bb.

The arrangements in this series were written as an introduction to chamber music playing for school groups and have also proved popular with quintets of more advanced players to play at weddings and other functions.
